Yifan Li

I’m a first-year Master of Computer Science (MCS) student at UIUC, interested in building systems that apply LLMs and retrieval to real-world data. My recent work includes a nine-month Final Year Project on LLM-based log analysis at HKUST and an AI R&D internship at China Telecom, where I developed hybrid retrieval and RAG pipelines.

Before UIUC, I earned a BEng in Computer Science with an Extended Major in Artificial Intelligence from HKUST and spent a semester as an exchange student at Purdue University. At UIUC, I’m focusing on machine learning systems, particularly efficient inference and model serving.
